San Francisco firefighters are working to rescue at least one surfer at Ocean Beach Wednesday afternoon, a fire dispatcher said.
Fire crews responded to a report of a rescue near Stairwell 20 on Ocean Beach around 3:45 p.m., the dispatcher said. As of about 4:10 p.m., the rescue was still in progress, she said.
