olice responded just after 5 p.m. to a call of a shooting and possible armed suspect in the 31000 block of Santa Ana Way in Union City. Cmdr. Gloria Lopez-Vaughan said responding officers found the 40-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.
He was transported to the hospital, treated and has since been released. Lopez-Vaughan said the victim made his way to a neighbor’s house to call police after the shooting.
Police located Ditico at the scene and took him into custody without incident.
