Trio sought in strip mall assault

Police are seeking information about three suspects who assaulted a male victim behind a strip mall in San Jose early Friday morning.

Shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday San Jose police received a 911 call reporting an assault and battery near a restaurant in the 1900 block of Aborn Road near South King Road, San Jose police Officer Albert Morales said.

When officers arrived at the strip mall, the victim told them that he was in the back of the restaurant talking with an employee when three people approached him, according to Morales.

The suspects and the victim exchanged some words and then three suspects physically assaulted the victim, Morales said.

The suspects fled the scene after assaulting the victim and have not yet been located by police.

The victim declined medical attention and San Jose police are investigating the assault, Morales said.
