A family of three was rescued after they were stuck on rocks by high tide in Half Moon Bay this evening, a Cal Fire official said.
Emergency crews responded to the incident on Miramontes Point Road about a mile and a half south of the Ritz-Carlton hotel around 6:45 p.m., Cal Fire Battalion Chief Shem Hawkins said.
Once crews located a man, woman and 8-year-old child stuck on the rocks, a rescue boat from the San Mateo County harbormaster was sent to the scene, Hawkins said.
The family was transferred by crews to the boat where emergency responders found them uninjured, he said.
San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies and a California Highway Patrol helicopter also assisted in the rescue.
