The 28-year-old man was injured at about 11:05 p.m. in the garage in the 400 block of Taylor Street, according to police.
He was on the hood of a green SUV when its driver hit the brakes, causing the man to fall and hit his head on the concrete floor of the parking structure, police said.
The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, according to police.
No other information about the incident was immediately available this morning.
