Six people were injured, one critically, when a car crashed into a building in Palo Alto this afternoon, police said.
The crash was reported at about 12:30 p.m. at 271 University Ave. Police said the initial investigation indicates that an elderly driver accidentally drove up onto a curb and struck five pedestrians, injuring one critically.
The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to police.
