Man injured in Tenderloin drive-by

A man was injured in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Monday night, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 9:54 p.m. near Leavenworth and Turk streets. The 38-year-old victim was standing in the area when a suspect in a four-door sedan drove by and opened fire, according to police.

The victim was shot in the leg. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, a man believed to be around 40 years old, fled in the car and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
