The body of a man was located last Thursday off of U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose two days after he went missing was identified as 70-year-old Anthony Lima, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
Lima, of San Jose, was found dead outside of his vehicle on the southbound side of Highway 101 south of Bernal Road at 9:09 p.m. Thursday, California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee said.
He was reported missing last Tuesday and his vehicle was ordered towed by the CHP prior to the discovery of his body, a medical examiner’s office employee said.
The medical examiner’s office has yet to determine the cause of Lima’s death. An examination of his remains is scheduled for some time today.
