Officers responded around 2:40 a.m. to a report of shots fired in the area of the 100 block of San Carlos Avenue, according to Sausalito police Sgt. Stacie Gregory.

The sergeant declined to say whether the victims died of gunshot wounds or whether the deaths are considered a murder, suicide or murder-suicide, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Police said the suspicious deaths are believed to be an isolated incident and there is no related threat to the public.
