AT&T PARK — Hopefully there’s an extra seat on a plane to Minneapolis before Tuesday.
The Giants officially announced Sunday that Tim Hudson will be joining Hunter Pence at Target Field for the 2014 All-Star Game.
The 38-year-old right-hander will replace Madison Bumgarner who pitched Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This will be the fourth All-Star appearance of Hudson’s (7-6, 2.87 ERA) career.
Hudson has 78 strikeouts against 19 walks in 119 innings. Hudson previously represented the Oakland A’s in 2000 and 2004 and the Atlanta Braves in 2010.
