The Richmond BART station is closed this afternoon after a rider was struck by a train, according to a BART spokesperson.
An alert went out about a person struck on the tracks around 4:35 p.m., according to BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost.
The person’s condition remains unknown at this time. BART police are on the scene investigating.
All trains are turning back at the El Cerrito del Norte station, but the AC Transit bus line 72 runs between the stations and is acting as a bridge, Trost said.
