The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has identified Nathan Torres as the 15-year-old who was fatally shot at a birthday party early Sunday morning in Windsor.
Torres, a Windsor High School student, was shot in the chest and died at a hospital, sheriff’s Sgt. Cecile Focha said.
Three other victims who were shot at the residence on Windsor Avenue survived their injuries. One is 17 years old and the others are 21 and 24 years old, Focha said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting at 12:47 a.m. Sunday and have not released information about a possible motive in the case.
Witnesses described the shooting suspect as a black male wearing a black shirt and sweatpants who fled in a blue Nissan compact car.
Investigators said a female was driving the car, which contained two other occupants.
