A nearly naked San Francisco Municipal Railway passenger briefly held up the 1-California bus line Thursday afternoon after refusing to get dressed or get off the bus, according to a Muni spokesman.
The incident occurred around 2:03 p.m. along the route that travels between the Richmond District and the Financial District.
Muni spokesman Paul Rose said the man got on the bus, took off most of his clothes and refused the bus operator’s request to either get dressed or leave.
Rose said the man was wearing only a sock on his private parts.
The bus operator evacuated the bus and called police. Rose said officers responded and eventually convinced the man to get dressed and exit the bus.
The man was not arrested after the incident, Rose said.
The scene was cleared around 2:48 p.m. and passengers were able to get on a different bus, according to Rose.
