Fremont police asked for the public’s help in locating Sital Kaur after she was last seen on Egret Way around 3:40 p.m. Thursday. Kaur was considered at-risk due to her age, though she didn’t have a history of going missing, police said.
Family members then called police at 9:35 a.m. Friday to report they had found a body floating in Alameda Creek wearing the same clothes Kaur had been wearing when she went missing, police said.
The Alameda County coroner’s bureau today identified the woman as Kaur.
