Missing 100-year-old found in hospital

UPDATE 2:57 p.m. The missing man was located by his family in a hospital today after falling and being admitted as a John Doe, police said.


San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 101-year-old 100-year-old missing man last seen Tuesday in the city’s Richmond District.

Peh Hsiung was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home in the 400 block of 15th Avenue, according to police. Hsiung is considered at-risk because of his age and high blood pressure. He also has limited English language skills.

Hsiung is known to frequent the Chinatown area and may be wearing a blue jacket and a green hat that says “Hawaii” on it, according to police.

He is described as an Asian man with brown eyes, white hair and stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 148 pounds. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call San Francisco police at (415) 553-1071.
