Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a South San Francisco hotel at gunpoint early this morning.
According to South San Francisco police, at about 5 a.m., an unidentified suspect wearing a ski mask entered the Embassy Suites Hotel at 250 Gateway Blvd. and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at a hotel clerk.
The suspect demanded money from the cash register and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. Police described the suspect as a black man who is about 6 feet tall with a slender build.
He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask and blue jeans, police said. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900 or an anonymous tip line at (650) 952-2244.

The accident was reported at 8:50 p.m. Sunday near San Jose and St. Mary's avenues.
