SaberCats scorch Soul in home opener

The San Jose SaberCats stayed perfect Sunday, scoring on every offensive possession on their way to a 70-33 win over the Philadelphia Soul Sunday at SAP Center.

In his first career start, rookie quarterback Nathan Stanley completed 18 of 28 passes for 249 yards and six touchdowns.

Wide receiver Reggie Gray hauled in five passes for 77 yards including three touchdowns, while Rod Harper matched Gray with 77 yards on six catches and two scores.

San Jose visits the Pittsburgh Power next Saturday at 2 p.m. before returning to SAP Center to host the Spokane Shock Friday, April 4.
