Bay Area media startup SFBay.ca has named Sarah Todd as its sports director, effective right now this second.

Todd, 26, has covered the Golden State Warriors as beat writer for SFBay since January 2013. One of Sarah’s first stories at SFBay broke the news of Andrew Bogut’s return from injury, which sparked the Warriors’ first visit to the NBA playoffs in six years.

SFBay editor Jesse Garnier welcomed Todd to her new position:

“Sarah’s energy, professionalism and no-bullshit approach makes her the perfect person to lead SFBay’s sports team.”

Prior to joining SFBay, Todd worked at KHSL-TV in Chico, coordinating studio operations for their morning show and other productions. She also worked in the athletic department of Butte College from 2005 to 2007.

Todd hails from Paradise, Calif., where her family lives with her golden retreiver, Khaleesi. She will continue to cover the Golden State Warriors for SFBay.

SFBay is credentialed to cover Bay Area professional and collegiate sports, including the World Series, the San Francisco 49ers, the Oakland Raiders, the San Francisco Giants, the Oakland A’s, the San Jose Sharks, the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco Bulls, the San Jose Sabercats and Cal basketball.
