OK, so they’re not the Blue Angels.

More Dew Tour coverage

Saturday: Louie Lopez skates to title.

But world-class skateboarders and BMX riders are worlds quieter than the military jets that ordinarily patrol San Francisco’s October skies.

The Dew Tour Toyota City Championships and its extravaganza of action sports returned to The City Friday, dazzling fans with high-flying stunts over Civic Center Plaza.

Top  skateboarders Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, and Bruno Hoffman join BMX riders Nathan Williams, Corey Martinez and others in shredding the Civic Center course this weekend.

The high-flying daredevils hit the streets again at 1 p.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday. Also on Sunday, organizers open the course to mere mortals and ordinary citizens for “Community Day.”
