Where and how to cry, laugh and celebrate the Breaking Bad series finale in style.
Whether you’ve faithfully followed Breaking Bad since its pilot, or binge-watched all five seasons in 10 days (guilty), the anticipation for tonight’s series finale is thrilling as it is bittersweet.
Will Walt finally try his meth and go all Scarface on the neo-nazis? Will Todd get to stick it in Lydia’s woodchipper? Is anyone — including baby Holly — coming out of this frickin’ show alive?
If the emotional rollercoaster is too much to bear alone, there are a couple live finale viewing parties for Bay Area fans.
In San Francisco, Lost Weekend Video (1034 Valencia St.) is hosting a free Roof Pizza Party from 9-11 p.m. Following the 9 p.m. finale, The Roof Pizza Chronicles will recap the episode with humorous reactions during a live podcast recording.
The event is 21+.
For those in the East Bay, check out the finale viewing party at Oakland’s New Parkway Theater (474 24th St.). In addition to its “Meth on the Mezz” screening, the theater is setting up an extra screen in the lobby and adding more chairs to fit all you Breaking Bad devotees.
The free showing begins promptly at 9 p.m.
If you’re attending or hosting a private finale party, try baking up a last-minute tray of “Walter’s Whities” cookies or bring a bucket of “Los Pollos Hermanos” fried chicken.
