Strip club sues Oracle over $33K unpaid bill

First you play, then you pay.

That’s the gentlemen’s agreement at gentlemen’s clubs. However, someone over at Oracle didn’t get the memo.

The New Century Theater, a strip club in The City’s Tenderloin district, is suing the company for unpaid charges swiped with the business credit card. The bill, according to the lawsuit, comes to a whopping $33,540.

The incident occurred during last year’s Oracle OpenWorld convention.

According to the lawsuit filed in San Francisco Superior Court, the employee used his Oracle-issued American Express card to pay $16,490 worth of unspecified “services” last Oct. 2.

A couple nights later, the man came back to the Larkin Street venue for an encore performance. This time the bill came to $17,050.

According to SFGate, an Oracle spokesperson declined to comment on the case.

The lawsuit emerges amid Oracle OpenWorld 2013, which kicked off Sunday at Moscone Center. Sixty-thousand people are expected to attend the five-day conference.
