SANTA CLARA — The 49ers continued to tweak their 53-man roster with two moves Monday morning.
Also, the poaching of San Francisco’s castoffs continued as quarterback Seneca Wallace joins fellow ex-49er quarterback Scott Tolzien in Green Bay, while tackle Kenny Wiggins is set to join the Chargers practice squad.
The 49ers traded outside linebacker Cam Johnson to the Colts for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2014 clearing a roster spot to sign wide receiver Chris Harper off the Seahawks practice squad.
The trade gives the 49ers 13 picks in the 2014 draft.
Johnson was a seventh-round pick in 2012 and was inactive most of his rookie year. But he has made strides as a pass rusher, which was evident last week at San Diego.
He’s likely to receive more playing time in Indianapolis as he was buried on the 49ers depth chart with no guarantee of being active on gameday.
Harper was Seattle’s fourth-round pick this year, but was cut after hauling in just four receptions for 39 yards while dropping an easy touchdown in the preseason finale.
The 6-1, 240-pounder is reportedly being considered for a Delanie Walker type TE/WR/HB role on the 53-man roster, though it’s hard to imagine him being one of the 46 players active for the Packers game this Sunday.
The 49ers still have one vacant spot on the practice squad to fill.
