The rain-or-shine aspect of San Francisco’s annual Bring Your Own Big Wheel event got put to the test Sunday afternoon.

But intermittent downpours were no match for the special flavor of downhill silliness brought to Potrero Hill every year. BYOBW participants let their inner children shine through for a few minutes of gravity-induced euphoria on a variety of human-powered wheeled vehicles.

Photographer Mike Hendrickson was on hand for SFBay to capture a slice of this annual tradition.
