AT&T PARK — Every season, the Giants’ waterfront ballpark rates among the top in the country. Just recently, TripAdvisor.com ranked AT&T Park second only to Pittsburgh’s PNC Park on its top ten list of baseball stadiums.
The Giants are well aware of the options for people to spend their entertainment dollars in the Bay Area. So on Wednesday, the organization debuted new food options and fan giveaways to make coming to the ballpark a fun and unique experience.
The runaway favorite among this year’s new food offerings has to be the Original Joe’s Burger. They’ll sell in 6 and 12 oz. sizes. The 12 oz. burger won’t be cheap at $16, but it is quality Grade-A ground chuck and every bite is to be savored.
Another California specialty is sushi, and the Giants in 2013 have Mashi’s Sushi concession stand on the swanky Virgin America Club level. Some of the featured items include their SF “Giant” roll and Arctic char nigiri.
Among the featured giveaway items are bobbleheads of Buster Posey with his MVP award, and head nodders of Barry Zito and Ryan Vogelsong. Gnomes were a hit with fans last season and this year players chosen are pitchers Sergio Romo and Tim Lincecum.
Several special events are planned including Elvis Presley and Metallica Night.
The fun starts Thursday night at 7:15 pm with a two-game set for the exhibition Bay Bridge series vs. the Oakland Athletics.
