Bulls trade Tuckerman and Lee to Utah

Following Sunday’s matinee against the Stockton Thunder, San Francisco Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio told the press that they were in need of a veteran forward:

 “I’ve got to talk to the Sharks. We need some help here up front. We’re depleted, and we need to get one or two forwards in the lineup by Friday. And then find ways to get them to contribute.”

Not 48 hours later, help is on its way.

While members of the team were at Ike’s in the Mission creating a sandwich worthy of their team, the Bulls announced Tuesday that they were trading forward Alex Tuckerman and defenseman Martin Lee to the Utah Grizzlies for winger Bryan Cameron and “future considerations.”

Cameron, in his third year of professional hockey, ranks second on the Grizzlies with 38 points, (15 goals, 23 assists,) in 47 games. The 23-year-old was originally drafted No. 82 overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Fan favorite Tuckerman posted 14 points, (5 goals, 9 assists) in 37 games during his first year of professional hockey.

Lee, also in his first year in the pros, had not recorded any points in the eight games he played with San Francisco.

Cameron is expected to rendezvous with the Bulls in Idaho for the start of their six-game road trip, which kicks off Friday night against the Steelheads. The last time these teams met up at CenturyLink Arena, the Bulls would rally for a 6-3 come-from-behind victory.

UPDATE: The trades continued into Wednesday, as the San Francisco Bulls announced via Twitter that forward Rylan Galiardi has been traded to the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for future considerations.
