No sooner did Sergio Romo’s strikeout ball hit Buster Posey’s glove did San Francisco start celebrating. And the party started right at the center of The City’s baseball universe: AT&T Park.
Fans rushing out of the Hi Dive, Momo’s, Tres Agaves and countless other SoMa watering holes made a beeline for the ballpark and celebrated the Giants’ second World Series title in three years with loud, raucous, well-intentioned chaos.
The next big party? Wednesday morning — Halloween — when another World Series parade crosses San Francisco streets.
