If indecent exposure suspect Richard “Rick” Hudson ever has his day in court, his attorney may not find Hudson’s choice of clothing quite as useful at trial.
The 59-year-old Hudson was arrested at his Sonoma home after a tip identified him from surveillance photos published by police. One of the images shows a man facing the camera with his shorts unbuttoned and partially removed.
Another shows a shocked shopper reacting to the last thing they expected to see at the supermarket: Some old dude hanging out his business.
Sonoma police Sgt. Dave Thompson told the Press-Democrat Hudson is a suspect in multiple incidents over a two-week span in September:
“Same guy. Same M.O. Same shorts.”
Thompson said Hudson allegedly exposed himself to two girls inside the Sonoma Safeway about 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Police believe Hudson then crossed the street and flashed a female Sonoma Market employee.
The first incident occurred Sept. 15 at a Sonoma CVS pharmacy.
Police told the Press-Democrat Hudson was arrested after confirming his description matched the videos, and after finding that Hudson’s name appeared on purchase records at stores around the time of the incidents.
