Vallejo 7-11s hit by double robbery

Robbing one 7-11 a night just isn’t enough these days.

At least not for the suspect Vallejo police believe held up two convenience stores within 20 minutes of each other Tuesday night.

Sgt. Jeff Bassett told the Vallejo Times-Herald that police received a call around 10:23 p.m. after a man in his 20s entered the store as if he was shopping. But when he went to the register, he pulled out a handgun and made off with cash.

Bassett said a second call came in about 16 minutes later from another 7-11 — about six minutes away by car — that had been robbed in the exact same fashion: Young man walks in, starts shopping, goes to check out, pulls out a gun and empties out the register.

It’s possible the suspect is also connected to a 7-11 hold up that took place at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning in Benicia.

Vallejo police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from both stores to get a better idea of what the suspect looks like.

  • ya right. the vpd isnt going to do a thing. we will never hear of this again.
how do i know? i will tell.
i used to work at the Vallejo springs rd. 711 and was held up. it wasnt even my shift. twenty minutes past my 11pm start time.
I TOLD VPD ONE OF THEM CAME IN BEFORE TO BUY A CIGAR AND TO CHECK THE TAPES. i know what i know and it was definitely ONE of them. 3 all together, first one, gun to my head, then 2 more, one joining the other behind the counter with HIS gun to my head, i mean like they were bumping the barrels at my head, the other the one who was in the store before, across the counter with HIS gun to my face. he got mad i had no money (i had JUST dropped over 100dollars in the safe) I got the butt of the handle of his gun to my left eye. pistol whippped.
VPD if you are reading this, you have thus far FAILED. i even identified the same three in another robbery of a gas station is saw happening on the news, i got there in time to be interviewed by ktvu2 Claudia Wong.
you would THINK police would of contacted me.
    NOPE nothing.
all 10 police officers in that city must be too busy.
i am a father of two and my b day had just passed. I was definitely the property of God that day.
i feel it is at least my right to posess the tape.they wont release it to me as it is still considered evidence.
OH YA,,BTW, THE OWNERS, WHO OWN BOTH 7-11 STORES IN VALLEJO HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME TO CONTINUE WORKING THE REST OF THE NIGHT, AND WERE RELUCTANT TO EVEN COME DOWN TO THE STORE UNTIL THE OFFICER TOLD THEM THEY HAD TO.
I WAS EVEN REPREMENDED FOR ALLOWING THEM TO TAKE ANY MONEY. AND ONLY PAID ME FOR THE 20 MINUTES I WAS ON SHIFT.

Here is the link of me in the interview from the other robbery:
