Real estate agent accused of iPad revenge

A real estate agent attempted to get revenge on a prostitute he believed stole cash and an iPad from his home by tying her up and threatening to kill her in a South San Francisco hotel, police said Thursday.

David Patrick O’Mara’s allegedly first picked up the prostitute and took her to his San Francisco home for sex on Tuesday. She left with stolen cash and an iPad, according to South San Francisco police.

O’Mara allegedly set up an appointment with the same woman the next day, wearing a disguise so she wouldn’t recognize him.

Once at the hotel room, police say O’Mara tied her limbs together with duct tape, beat her and threatened her.

Police arrived at the hotel after guests complained about a screaming woman. Police arrived to find the 20-year-old woman still tied up in the room.

Police cut the duct tape and sent the woman to the hospital. The exact location of the hotel was not disclosed.

O’Mara was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
