Oh, to be a starting MLB pitcher with a seven-year contract and a sprawling five-bedroom pad.
Well, you can scratch the pad off of Barry Zito’s list, since he just put his Kentfield property on the market.
Curbed SF reported today that the newly-married Zito listed the two-and-a-quarter acre hillside home for $11,495,000.
If the notion that the property was owned by a major league pitcher wasn’t impressive already — heck, Zito’s gotta do something with that contract worth $126 million — maybe its size will win you over. The 6,672-square-foot residence spans five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths.
Heck the outside deck itself is 3,266 square feet that opens up on a gorgeous yard with sprawling views of Phoenix Lake and Mount Tamalpais.
Plus a pool. And a 864-square-foot garage. And a guest house that is just as tastefully decorated as the rest of the house.
You can check out pictures of the house’s interior. The kitchen alone is bigger than my whole apartment.
Curbed guesses that Zito hasn’t occupied the house in some time, since it is void of personal touches such as sports memorabilia or one of Zito’s many musical instruments.
The house is at 660 Goodhill Road in the ritzy Villa Della Pace neighborhood in Kentfield.
Facing a major budget shortfall, City College may have to shutter satellite campuses around The City.
Some Bay Area residents are poised to make that giant leap into what can technically be called space.
