Fog lifts for birthday fireworks

Booming flash-bangs of color helped thousands celebrate the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th birthday Sunday night.

Looming Pacific fog cleared just far enough to give celebrants a clear view of magnificent pyrotechnia. The display capped a daylong party that brought thousands to San Francisco’s Marina and waterfront.
