Suspect nabbed after 19 garage burglaries
I don't know if any of you know what the crime situation is like in San Ramon. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's probably a negative-3.

Apparently police just arrested this guy on Wednesday that is suspected in a bunch of — like 19 — garage burglaries in San Ramon.
I don’t know if any of you out there in SFBay Readerland know what the crime situation is like in San Ramon.
Let’s put it this way: On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s probably a negative-3.
Trust me, I’m a native. I grew up there. Lived 20 years of my life there.
There’s probably a decent crime committed in San Ramon once a year — OK, maybe twice three times a year, since developers keep expanding my little town into the Bollinger Hills and adding new school and shopping centers and so on and so on.
But that doesn’t change the fact that San Ramon PD works a happy suburban town and has plenty of time to bust actual crime. You know, like 23-year-old Chase Adamic, who is accused of disabling garage alarms and stealing loot in the Dougherty Valley area.
For those of you not familiar with San Ramon valley: Dougherty Valley used to be an unlit two-lane road that linked Crow Canyon Road to the Danville-bordering Norris Canyon Road.
It was the only way to get from Blackhawk to Hacienda Crossings in Dublin without having to drive all the way through town. Members of my high school class used to go up there to drive their cars super fast, or drink and smoke undetected.
Now, Dougherty Valley is crazy developed and has its own Safeway.
Allegedly it was the prime target for this Adamic fellow, who police suspect was abusing narcotics and violating probation while relieving garage of valuable items.
When officials suspected Adamic of multiple garage robberies — five just within the last two weeks — they went to investigate his residence at the 1100 block of Amberstone Lane.
Again, for those of you not familiar with the SRV area: Amberstone Lane is right around the corner from the semi-new Dougherty Valley High School, in the exact same area that the burglaries were being committed.
Adamic was arrested Wednesday with property linked to the garage raids, as well as the tool that Adamic was allegedly using to disable the house alarms.
So dude allegedly stole in his own neighborhood, left the weapon of choice out, and got himself nabbed? There’s your burglary scandal in the San Ramon area for the year 2012.
