The 49ers’ secondary will face their stiffest test of the season. Brees is the hottest quarterback in the league right now, and has thrown for over 300 yards in eight straight games – including the win over the Lions.
The 49ers are not built to win a shoot-out with Brees. Not many teams are. This is clearly going to be the best team the Niners have faced all season. If they can get by the Saints, they will have undoubtedly earned their spot in the conference championship game.
