If it feels likes Steph Curry tweaks his injured ankle during every game, it’s because he does.
Steph might be one of the Warriors’ best players, but he’s quickly becoming their biggest liability. It doesn’t help that the Warriors are extremely thin at the point guard position.
In case you missed it, Curry hurt the oft-injured ankle again tonight against the Spurs. The Warriors were leading when he left the game, and they eventually lost.
To try and protect against the possibility that one of these times, an ankle roll will cause Curry to miss extended time, the Warriors have taken out a tiny insurance policy.
Emphasis on “tiny.”
Enter Nate Robinson, the 5-foot-9-inch slam dunk champion.
The move shows that the Warriors are desperate for warm bodies that can bring the ball up the court. The Warriors brought in Ish Smith just before the season, and they like what they’ve seen from him. But Robinson has more experience. This is his seventh NBA season.
Robinson played for Boston and Oklahoma City last season and averaged 6.8 points per game and 1.9 assists per game.
